Okay I know this is just the vanity of being a woman...but am I was wondering to all my hijabi sisters. Do you ever miss having a nice breeze blow through your hair? Al7amdulillah I love my hijab and would never take it off.
Smile...for now I will have to be content with the occasional wind that may blow under my hijab, offering relief and a reminder. More important I know that my hair is not my crown...now, it is truly my hijab.

As-salaamu Alaikum wa rahmatu Allah,
Since young I was told my hair is my crown, and now I wear my hijab as my crown Alhamdulillah. U city folks are at a grave disadvantage because the country is a great place feel Allah's blessing (a nice n easy cool breeze).
Here's an idea: Inside your quarters (room), take a fan have it blow directly on you...hold your arms wide open and say: Al7amdulillah *smile*
That was a beautiful retelling of your experiences as a hijabi. It took me nearly a decade of wearing my hijab for me to truly understand what it meant to be a hijabi.
Yep I miss having the wind in my hair. What's more I miss having a hairstyle not get smooshed.
